What’s the difference between a Gillette MACH3 razor and a Gillette Fusion5 razor?
The Gillette MACH3 has 3 blades while the Gillette Fusion5 has 5 blades and a precision trimmer.

What are Microfins, and what do they do?
The Gillette Fusion5 razor features ultra-soft skin guards consisting of 15 thinner, more flexible Microfins. These Microfins precede the blades and smooth out the skin before the first blade cuts the first hair. So you get a close, comfortable shave.

What does an Indicator Lubricating Strip do?
An Indicator Lubricating Strip is a thin strip that sits at the top of your razor, releasing lubricants over time, providing a great glide. When you are no longer getting an optimal shave, the Indicator Lubricating Strip fades to white, indicating that it might be time to change the blade.

Will Gillette Fusion5 razor blade refills fit any other razors on the market?
Yes, all Fusion5 blades fit all Fusion5 and Fusion5 Power razors.

Great for Women Too!

I decided to buy a men's razor after feeling curious about if there really was a difference. Let me tell you, there is! It gave me the smoothest and cleanest shave I've ever had, and I love that I dont have to keep buying full razors and I can now just get the refills!

Not satisfied

I went to my Local Walgreens to purchase Fusion Proglide Blades. Unable to find the ones I purchased last and bought "update" replacements with orange lubricating edge. Very disappointed in performance. Orange surface has black marks after one use and the other surface that indicates when to replace the blade quickly wears out. I only get about three shaves per blade. Also not a very close shave as orange surface may be to thick. If my old Proglide blades aren't available on my next trip to Walgreens I may have to switch to Shick or another company.

An unsatisfied shaving experience is not what we're about, here at Gillette. When you reach for your Fusion5 blades, we expect your shave results to be the closest and smoothest a man can get. While we would expect the strip on each refill to last for about a month, this can depend on a few different things. For best results, store your razor in its organizer to make sure air can circulate around the strip after each use. If you don't have an organizer, just store it with the blades facing up. Always keep your blades away from direct contact with water when not in use. Extensive rinsing will wear your lubrastrip down faster. Gillette Fusion

Have been using Gillette blades for over 30 years . Recently noticed the blades are not as resilient as they should be nor as effective . One shave is best I can get from each blade . Seems as though the quality as slipped . Very disappointed considering the price we pay for the Fusion . Any recommendations for an alternate ?

Finding the right product for you is always an ongoing process as our skin and beard changes over time. If your looking for a product with a little thicker blade I would recommend the Gillette5. It has our traditional Gillette blades and from your review, that sounds like the blade you prefer.
